A museum of jadeite,
kept by faith.
Five years curating rare jadeite in Singapore — and ten percent of every profit, given to families in need.

There is a saying in the Chinese jade trade: 水太深. In English, the closest thing we have is “you are out of your depth” — the water is deeper than you are tall, and your feet can no longer find the bottom.
What it really means is plain enough: this trade is far more complicated than it looks. With almost every other gemstone, a certificate ends the conversation. With jadeite, the certificate is often where the conversation begins. Two stones can look identical under the same light and differ in value by a hundred times. Heat. Dye. Resin. Glass. The treatments are invisible to an untrained eye, and the person who eventually discovers the truth is almost always the customer — years later, in another city, with no one to ask.
I did not set out to build a brand. I set out to take a complicated trade and give it back its oldest purpose — 以翠会友: meeting people through jade, instead of marking it up.
The Name, in Three Words
Jusseum
Jesus
Our name starts with Him, and He shows up in one decision more than any other: we would rather be understood than be clever. There is an old line in our faith — let your "yes" simply mean yes. So there is one price here, not two. The person standing in front of us is not a customer to be worked over; they are the reason the stone exists. Jade is how we meet. It was never meant to be how we win.
Jadeite
The rarer of the two jades — the one collectors pursue. We do not stock the ordinary. We curate the texture, the water and the colour that you cannot find twice.
Museum
Because we are only keeping these pieces for a while. Each one is studied, cared for, documented, and made ready to be handed on — to whoever comes next, long after we are gone.
01
Where Jade Was a Gift, Not a Purchase
I grew up in Taiwan, China, where jade was never really a purchase — it was a gift.
A mother places a bangle on her daughter's wrist. A grandmother passes down a pendant she has worn for thirty years. Nobody asks what those things cost. They ask whether they are genuine, because a false blessing is worse than no blessing at all.
That is the weight jadeite carries in our culture. It is protection. It is continuity. It is the one object in a family that is expected to outlive everyone who held it. And that is why I have never been able to treat jadeite as inventory.
02
The Slowest Way to Earn Trust
When I decided to do this properly, I chose the harder road.
I trained and qualified as an NGTC-certified jade appraiser — the National Gemstone Testing Center, the most authoritative gemmological institution in China. It meant classrooms, microscopes, and thousands of stones handled, weighed and graded until the differences stopped being theory and became instinct. It meant learning to say no to a beautiful piece, because beauty is not the same thing as integrity.
I did not do it to put letters after my name. I did it so that when someone hands me a stone, I can tell them the truth — even when the truth costs me the sale.

Five Years in Singapore
I started Jusseum with a very small number of beliefs.
Five years later, that belief has become the entire business. Singapore taught me that a reputation travels fast and dies faster. It taught me that a client who comes back for the tenth time is worth more than any single transaction. And it taught me that the people who love jadeite are not looking for a bargain — they are looking for someone they can believe.
So every piece that leaves us is graded, documented and certified. If I would not hand it to my own family, it does not leave the studio. And we sell at one price — 一口价. No bargaining, no discounts for the persuasive, no quiet second price for the next person. Because a price you have to negotiate is a price you cannot trust.
The Ten Percent
Jade is a blessing. So we gave ten percent of it away.
Before there was a logo, there was a decision. We give 10% of our profit to families living in poverty — through 兴起发光 · All Arise Shine.
兴起发光 · All Arise Shine
A physician from Taiwan, China, practising medicine in the United States — who founded All Arise Shine while still working full-time.
100% of what is given reaches the family it was given for. No administrative layer, no percentage lost on the way.
It runs on the same rule we apply to a stone: nothing hidden, nothing skimmed, nothing diluted between the intention and the person it was meant for.
兴起,发光。因为你的光已经来到。
"Arise, shine, for your light has come." — Isaiah 60:1
Real
Every piece is appraised by an NGTC-certified jade appraiser and accompanied by its certification. A treated stone is never sold as natural. Ever.
Curated
Only pieces we would collect ourselves. Rare 种水色 you will not find twice in a market. If it is not museum-worthy, it is not in the studio.
Returned
10% of profit, permanently, through 兴起发光 · All Arise Shine. 100% reaches the family. It is the first line we pay, not the last.
A Letter From Helen
I know how this industry has made people feel — cautious, once-burned, unsure who to believe. I can't fix the whole industry. But I can be accountable for one name on one door.
If you are holding something inherited and you don't know what it is, bring it to me. I will tell you honestly, whether or not it leads anywhere.
If you are buying your first piece and you are afraid of being fooled, ask me anything. The questions are the point.
And if you are buying a gift — thank you. You just fed a family too.
— Helen, Founder & NGTC-Certified Jade Appraiser · Jusseum Jewelry, Singapore
